Bookshapers - Top Self-Publishing Company for Writers publishing books of poetry, novels, and memoirs.

Publishing
Your book can be produced in a number of formats

Formats are: traditional offset, Docutech, or a combination of both, and in paperback as well as hardback.

We will provide a quote on the project before we begin. Offset printing (containing either black-and-white or color interiors) requires press runs of at least 2,000 copies to overcome the initial cost of setting up the press and keep per-unit costs within bounds.

For boutique editions of 200 copies (with full-color covers and black-and-white interiors), Docutech—a relatively new Xerox technology that produces results practically indistinguishable from those that can be achieved by offset—provides a much more cost-effective option our clients invariably find satisfying.

Our book covers are generally perfect-bound and in complete color, and can be laminated to a high gloss if you wish.

Projects of less than 85 pages, like poetry chapbooks or short collections of essays, can also be saddle-stitched (stapled through the spine).

Once your book is published, we can arrange for listing it online with Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and registration with Ingram and Baker and Taylor, two of this country’s largest book distributors. We can make it available as well on the ipad, Nook, and Kindle, and can even arrange for a live sales force to market it to corporate buyers for bookstore chains.
